Erin is an award-winning birth and documentary family photographer and filmmaker based in Jacksonville, Florida. She and her dog Scout love to swim at the beach and go on hikes together. She loves to travel and has been fascinated with photojournalism since she was a child. Her father gave her his camera when she was 14 and she fell in love with making her own photographs of her adventures growing up. Erin struggled for years trying to find the right kind of photography to build a business with, but continued documenting her experiences along the way. She even photographed her first birth in Nicaragua in 2008, before she knew birth photography was a “thing”! In 2014, she happened upon a documentary family + birth photography workshop online taught by Kirsten Lewis. Within just a few minutes of watching the workshop, she knew that this was exactly the direction she wanted to go with her work. Erin hired Kirsten to be her mentor, and dug in to learn all she could. At this point in time, she has photographed over 60 births and has also become a doula to provide even more support to her clients. She loves to help moms feel seen, beautiful, and empowered through her work. She wants families to be re-immersed in their stories when they see their photographs and loves to share what she has learned with others.
